Nice & Easy fans
Question:
I have been using Clairol Nice & Easy for years and very happy with it. Went to look up the Colour Gloss conditoner on internet to see if available on its own as it is brilliant! Came across a link that shows all the dangerous chemicals in their products. What really upset me was that they test on white rabbits and rats and put the dye in their eyes as well as in to the skin. Don't think I can use it anymore because I will be seeing little rabbits not being able to blink their eyes to get the dye out. http://www.nicnas.gov.au/search/cach...fr.pdf.pan.txt Answer: awww cr*p why'd you have to go and show me that! it was my favourite hair dye Answer: Originally Posted by keeks awww cr*p why'd you have to go and show me that! it was my favourite hair dye I know how you feel. I am devastated! L'Oreal test on rabbits too. Am thinking of going with companies that don't, like Almay, Avon, Revlon, but they don't do hair dye. Goldwell don't use animals, nor does Aveda, Joico, KMS, Mastey, Paul Mitchell & Nexsus. Can use Goldwell. We stopped wearing fur to help curb animal slaughter but do we do the same with cosmetics and hair products? Even Pantene test on amimals. The alleged "cruelty free" claim often refers to the final product; however, the majority of animal testing occurs through the supply chain and therefore these products actually contain ingredients tested on animals. Similarly, some companies state that "we" do not test on animals, when in fact they merely contract "someone else" to do the testing. These kinds of labels and claims are often confusing, and misleading, to consumers. COMPANIES THAT DO NOT TEST ON ANIMALS What about a product whose label says, ‘No Animal Testing,’ but whose manufacturing company is not on PETA’s ‘Don’t Test’ list? Clairol’s Herbal Essence shampoo states that it is not tested on animals; Clairol, however, does test other products on animals Why do some companies’ product labels say, ‘No Animal Ingredients,’ when, in fact, they contain beeswax, lanolin, whey, etc.? Some companies are not educated about or sensitive to the suffering of animals in the production of certain products that do not involve the actual slaughter of the animal The following companies manufacture products that ARE NOT tested on animals. Those marked with an asterisk (*) manufacture strictly vegan products—made without animal ingredients, such as milk and egg byproducts, slaughterhouse byproducts, lanolin from sheep, honey, or beeswax (for a list of animal ingredients and their alternatives, please contact PETA or visit CaringConsumer.com ABBA Pure & Natural Hair Care Abercrombie & Fitch Alchemy Almay American Safety Razor (Personna, Flicker, Bump Fighter Andrea International Industries Aramis, Aveda Corporation Avon Products, Inc Bare Escentuals *Beauty Without Cruelty BioKleen Biokosma Bobbi Brown The Body Shop Bonne Bell Bumble and Bumble Burt’s Bees California Tan Chanel Citré Shine Clarins Clinique Laboratories Conair Crabtree & Evelyn Decleor USA Dermalogica Donna Karan Beauty Company Dr. Hauschka Skin Care Eberhard Faber Eco Design Company Ella Baché Erno Laszlo Estée Lauder Fernand Aubry Golden Pride/Rawleigh Goldwell USA Hard Candy Hello Kitty Ida Grae (Nature’s Colors Cosmetics Iredale Mineral Cosmetics, Jessica McClintock Joe Blasco Cosmetics John Paul Mitchell Systems JOICO International Jo Malone Jurlique Pure Skin Care Kate Spade Beauty Kirk’s Natural Products King of Shaves KMS La Mer La Prairie Liz Claiborne Cosmetics Little Forest Natural Baby Products LUSH Cosmetics M.A.C.
