Long hair over 30? - Page 5
Question:
God! So sick of these silly questions about age bound ideas about how to dress and your appearance. If it looks good, and you feel good do it! Regardless of age. Answer: Sorry.. just watching BB right now and how old is Gretel Kileen? Early 40s?? She looks great with longer hair, and would probably look wayyy older with short hair i reckon. Gretel is closer to 50 I think... I think any woman can have long hair. It will look good as long as it looks healthy I think. I am 27 and I can NOT imagine cutting my hair short in 3 years time, no way. I have never thought of myself as 'getting old'. I feel like I'm still 21, and I dont think I've looked like I've aged that much since then. Answer: Age shouldn't have anything to do with your hair style. If it suits you why change. I'm 37 and had hair past my bra strap, recently got it cut in a shoulder length bob, am now growing it again. Answer: I think maybe past 50 reallly really long hair can be a bit not flattering, depends on the individual though, Im mid 30s and short hair does not suit me so its almost bra strap length , I have no intention of cutting it short. 30 is by no means old its just that in the past few years it seems the voguettes are younger and younger (teenagers) and perhaps ton them 30 is old, as i suppose it was to me at that age Answer: A ridiculous idea. Keep your length or lack of, whatever ,whenever works for you. Answer: Originally Posted by Keys I hate how women, usually 50plus, feel the need to get a man crop. But you shouldnt cut it just cos some unspoken rule dictactes that long hair on older women is for some reason just not done I agree. I personally think that cutting my hair short would be like cutting off my femininity. I dont think short hair on women is feminine. I think it suits some face shapes and if it suits you, and you prefer it great. However, I would hate to have short hair, and it doesnt suit me so saying that you are a certain age so should cut your hair off and be miserable with it is absurd. Regardless of age, you should have what suits you best, and what you prefer. Furthermore, when youre around the age of 20, 30 might seem old. When you get to 30, you realise it is far from old. Ive never even heard of anyone saying that at 30 you shouldnt have long hair! Who is saying that? 14 year olds? Ever watch Sex and the City? All of those women were in their mid 30's - 40ish and all but one had long hair. Some other women in their 30's and 40's with long hair - Brooke Shields Cindy Crawford Nicole Kidman Madonna Jennifer Aniston Elle McPherson Jaclyn Smith Sigrid Thornton Janet Jackson Answer: Originally Posted by melbournewoman God! Yeah, I really thought these sort of ideas went away in about 1985... Answer: I'm nearly 29 and I have long hair. I have absolutely no intention of cutting my hair. God, these theory's are so ridiculous... Answer: I'm going to go research some aged care facilities.....geeez. what's with this forum and the misconception of what old is ??? no long hair after 30 ? chanel no 5 suited to and older, more mature person ..... over 30 !!!!!! ??? ggggrrrrr. Answer: ^ ^ I agree with the posts above - if it looks good, keep it. However, in theory women look better with shorter hair as they age because their faces get thinner. I'ver never had long hair (it's never been past my shoulders, even as a kid) because it's very fine and quite thin, but even if I did, I don't think I'd grow it too long, because I've also got a really thin face...I look sooo much better when I put on weight!!
