RAVE: Al'chemy Shampoo and Conditioner
Question:
I've used a lot of low and high end shampoos and my dry, chemically-straightened, dyed hair was really starting to show the stress, not to mention the dermatitis that was on my forehead and dandruff that would occassionally make its dreaded appearance. Anyway, lately I've been switching to organic products (both with skincare and makeup) and I've reaped very positive results. I bought a bottle of [Al'chemy] Rice Aminos & Wheat Protein, Intensive Moisture Shampoo and [Al'chemy] Macadamia & Wheat Protein Treatment Conditioner because at $12.50 each for a small bottle with cerified organic quality it seemed very well priced. Anyway, after a week of use my hair is shinier, bouncier, fuller and stronger than ever - not to mention that it also smells beautiful. My dermatitis has totally disappeared and my straggley ends appear to be quite repaired! My hair doesn't feel weighed down or coated at all, the oils and protein in the products have obviously helped my hair (and scalp) from the inside out. So I thought I'd just post this rave because this stuff really has given me beautiful hair. I can even straighten my hair with the GHD and not apply any preparation sprays because the ends are now so strong. It's fantastic! They also carry treatment products and different shampoo and conditioner combinations for all types, but if your hair needs rehabilitation like mine and you're in the market for an organic alternative try this definitely! Answer: thanks for that! and where do you buy these products from?? Answer: There's a big 'where to buy' section on the website: http://www.purist.com They distribute internationally now too, which is nice. But it's really lovely, I'd love to hear what others think Answer: Might also add that my coloured hair is far more vibrant as well! Answer: You can buy these from pretty much any health food store (I havnt been into a single one that doesn't stock them), and selected pharmacies. Thanks for the rave Kyxie, I dont know why i've never posted about these before. I've been using them for about 2 years now, because I was getting terrible rashes down my back and itchy scalp from the sulphates in regular shampoos. My favourite combo for me is the Pure (has a picture of a water droplet) shampoo Wheat and Macadamia conditioner (like you) and my hair is absolutely amazing now... In my humble opinion of course... I also use their Jasmine body wash and love that too... As well as their hand cream... They are both wonderful...Although not staples like their shampoos & conditioners for me. Answer: Try the Leave in Conditioner and Vitamin hair masque too... they are both really good. The Leave in is good to protect your hair if you straighten it like that. My fav shampoo is the Ylang Ylang ( the coloured hair one) ....gorgeous smell too.. and same conditioner as you too. I have all of the bodywashes ( got them as set on TVSN a couple of mths ago) and love the Jasmine and the Orange Blossom best in those. Great as a handwash ( and clothes wash) too. Akin skincare is lovely as well... Answer: When you say small bottle, how small ? I'd love to try but am on limited resources! What kind of organic makeup are you using??? Answer: The bottle lasts quite few washes, but is even more affordable in the big pump packs (I have the pump packs at home, and the little squeeze bottles at my boyfriends for weekend use)... Answer: I absolutely love this range! I use the shampoo for coloured hair and the wheat and macadameia conditioner. For a while I was losing my hair in big chunks (pretty scary when you're only a twenty-something) and my fine hair was snapping as soon as you touched it, but I switched to Alchemy a few months back and my hair has totally revived itself. I have black hair, and the colour protection shampoo really works - six weeks since my last dye job, and it's still a glossy blue-black Answer: I love Alchemy too. I can't use regular shampoos as they cause havoc on my scalp. (Some literally hurt) I would also recommend the skin care products, particularly the creamy cleanser, the name of which escapes me. I think ithe range is still sold on TVSN, they often have huuuuuuuuuge gift sets at great prices. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
