Question:
Ive just started on this and its helped my scalp alot. It was so dry and flaky
This seems to have alleviated the dryness...funny i thought it would dry it out more! These dandruff type shampoo's usually do for me.
So im wondering how often to use it? I wouldnt want to use it every wash as I hate the smell etc. Ive used it everywash (every 2-3 days the past week and a half) but would prefer to be able to use other shampoo's as well plus its a hassle having to let it sit for 5 minutes.
Do you think twice a week would be enough?

My Boy uses this stuff, and it's done wonders for his scalp!
He uses is every 2nd day, alternating it with my KMS shampoo.

Thanks. Its helped me heaps too. My scalp was so dry and crusty with flakes, it was driving me insane! It actually felt like I had these little scabs on my scalp..gross i know but now my scalp is softening up now
I tried sulphate free shampoo's etc thinking it was sulphates causing it - none helped the dryness
Id say neutrogena has sulphate in it so dont know what was causing my problems, I just hope it lasts!

my bf says this stuff is great too ... although he says it smells like tar!
my bf alternates between this and a dandruff shampoo by Organic Care (available in Woolies - it's organic and animal cruelty free). By the time he gets to the end of a bottle of one, it effectiveness seems to have reduced ... so he switches to the Organic Care until it stops working and goes back to the T-Gel and vice versa.

^^ he's right it stinks of tar, says pleasant fragrance on the bottle , not quite! I find it makes my hair look a bit dull too so really dont want to use it too much.

Perhaps you have psoriasis ... like me The smell is probably tar - it's used to sooth the scalp. I use SebiTar shampoo and condtioner - it also (as maybe does T-Gel) contains salicylic acid which is what gets rid of the flakes. You get used the beautiful smell after a while OR try using Sebitar Conditioner afterwards.

I'm not sure but I think I know someone who uses something tar-based and the smell lingers on them. Is this true? I don't want to use it if it makes me smell.

I use it about once a week. The smell is not so nice, and if you use it too often it can make your hair look orangey. I usually use a normal conditioner afterwards which hides the smell.
