I get a dry, itchy scalp....was meaning to buy this but bought Garnier (cheaper) anti-dandruff instead....my hair and scalp love it! and smells yummy! I always thought dandruff was oily & crusty - like cradle cap? I'm pretty sure I have psoriasis (mildly), cos my mum has it too....She buys a delorenzo scalp balancing (?) shampoo & conditioner and swears buy them

An alternative to T Gel would be Polytar which is available from pharmacies.
I've used it and it simply left my hair dry and frizzy (when I had dematitis on my scalp about 4 years ago) and didn't really control the itch. But now I don't have dematitis on my scalp (forgot the name of the condition [think that it starts with a S]) and so hopefully I will not have to use the product again.

When I had dandruff/scabby things on my scalp I used Nizoral shampoo from the chemist. I just used it twice a week before my regular shampoo/conditioner and it got rid of my dandruff after about a couple of weeks and it hasn't come back (was about 3 years ago)

the conditioner in the sebitar range is made to remove the tar smell afterwards, so may be suitable for use with any tar products

I think my problem was more that dandruff Anti dandruff one's do nothing for me. I actually had scaly,scabby bits on my scalp not just flakes.
