Question:
I bought a box of Nice'n Easy 116 (neutral natural light brown) and deciding whether i should use it or not.. i dont want my hair to go super dark, which i've heard can happen with the nice'n easy colours.. i have dull dark blonde (you might even say grey, as much as i hate to admit it) roots, and then hair which was ages ago, recently dyed brown (HD job, but its now faded to a orangeybrown colour )
im also scared of it looking green!
advice?

I used it after a bad blonding session a few yrs back. It took out the orange, was gentle on my hair and is very light brown. I used Light ash brown. It didnt look green.
It shouldnt go too dark, I found it didnt even darken my hair, just took out the brasiness.Their light brown really are 'light brown' not like some haircolours. My only complaint...it faded out quick!

It definitely won't make your hair green, rest assured. If your hair has any red/copper tones in it (which it does, being an orangy-brown), it'll go more coppery if anything, and a bit darker...and with your roots, I'm not sure what it might do...probably more accurate as to what the pic on the front of the box looks like.
I would've gone for the same colour but in ash. In fact, the other day, I used Dark Neutral (or Natural, can't recall the exact wording) Ash Blonde, and this came out a medium/light brown with slight reddish tones. I can never get the red out of my hair. It's naturally a mousy grey/brown...
So yeah...but if you're really worried, just do a strand test and see. (With Nice & Easy though, if you really don't want to go too dark and your hair isn't really light to begin with, go lighter than what you think you want. Like, a medium/dark blonde if you want to turn out a light/medium brown)

thanks for the advice! just washed it and dried it off, it looks great (thought not much darker than what it was before, but its fixed up/evened out the colour, covered the roots, and isnt green ) and the conditioner..!! its worth buying again just for the conditioner. that is seriously good stuff!

Thats what i liked about it when i used it - didnt darken it just toned it. And yep, the conditioners in hair colours are great arent they?
