M.A.C Technique
Question:
Who has done one of these?
A 2 hour group seminar with dedicated M.A.C artists focusing on tips and tricks. This is the perfect environment to experiment and try new looks. Minimum 8 guesta. $120 redeemable for product on the day
I tried a forum search but couldn't find anything so forgive me if this has been discussed
What is the format like? Is it like a lecture or a tutorial? Do you get much individual help with so many in the class? Do you get to try things for yourself or just watch the make up artist do it?
If anyone knows anything it would be greatly apreciated
also any ideas for what i should redeem my $120 on if i do it

Answer:
Is it at all MAC stores?

Answer:
Ooh that sounds so good! Pity I don't live anywhere near a counter.

Answer:

I'm not sure, im in Melbs and was just going to do it at Myer. My bestie bought me a $100 MAC voucher for Christmas, so im just going to pay the extra $20 and do that. When its all redeemable on product it would be silly not to do it

Answer:
I've been to one of these!!!! I went to the Rockocco event, which was held at 6pm on a Tuesday i think it was? But anyway it was pretty cool, cause the whole of MYER was closed but specially opened just for the people attending the MAC event. What happened is they served us something to nibble on and champagne, whilst showing us some different looks on a model, that took about half an hour.
After that, you get to pair up with your own make-up artist which gives you the opportunity to ask questions to them one on one, whether it be about application, products, colours that suit you etc etc. You can also get them to try some MAC products on your face . You could attend the event with a full face of make-up but i thought of keeping it simple and just came with some concealer on my face and mascara already done, so they had a clean canvas to work on.
As for the $120 worth of products i'd say go for maybe
- An eyeshadow or Pigment.
- Blush and/or Mineralize Skinfinish
- Fluidline!! and you might want to get the small angle brush too.
- Lipglass, Lustreglass or Lipgelee - these are great
- MAC Blot Powder.
- Brushes
All the products recommended above cost more than $120 all up , but just thought i'd list some things you could loook into, cause they are all gorgeous .
My MAC counter (Parramatta) hasn't done any more events since November, but I asked them and their next one is in February, hopefully i can go to this one!
Hope that helps.!

Sounds great BB-i'd love to get a group of girls together to do this...it sounds like fun!

Answer:
I think you'd have heaps of fun HPH . You should get together some of your friends, or if not that, go with a group of felllow melbournite voguettes that would be so good

Answer:
i've been to 2 of them, i went with a group of girlfriends i think it was a max of 12 people. We all got taught how to do a specific look on ourselves. It was heaps of fun and good if there is specific things you want help with.
I did both sessions at the pro store on chapel st.

Answer:
Ohh I really want to go now My bf would probably kill me knowing im spending money on makeup But the fact its redeemable on makeup makes it soooo much more appealing.
