UNDERARM (DEODERANT RESIDUE)
Question:
anyone have any good & safe remedies for deoderant residue left in
the armpit after washing. I've tried scrubbing the skin & shaving.
Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? :?

Answer:
Hey Jaz, how are you doing? Deordant residue should remove itself
through shaving and/or soap and water. If not, this could constitute
for prompt medical treatment. Scientists at Huber Engineered
Materials, part of J.M. Huber Corporation, have developed a new odor
neutralization technology platform as an efficient and effective means
of controlling underarm odor through a non-antimicrobial mechanism,
e.g. Mitchum Clear Gel Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant and Huberderm
Deo. Prolonged contact with deodorants and antiperspirants may
cause permanent damage. Combined with the perspiration, the damage can
be extensive. The most common damage is caused by overuse of these
products, or infrequent cleanings. This leads to the buildup of a
stiff, caked-up residue or to fabric damage. To prevent chemical
damage, do not overuse the product and allow it to dry before
dressing. Wear dress shield with silk garments. For starters, make
sure you use a razor suited to a woman's curves -- don't just grab one
your boyfriend or husband has lying around. I prefer the newer,
ergonomically correct razors that are comfortable to hold and move
with the shape of your body, such as Gillette's For Women Passion
Venus. Once you hit the shower, wash the underarm area with soap
and warm water to remove any razor-clogging oils and deodorant
residue. To get all those hard-to-reach hairs, extend your arm
straight above your head. This makes the skin taut, enabling you to
reach even the peskiest stubble. Using a moisturizing shave gel (I
like Skintimate's), shave in an upward direction first, then down,
then sideways. Believe it or not, underarm hair grows in different
directions so this ensures a smoother shave. Rinse with cool water to
close the pores and wait a few minutes before applying deodorant.
Best wishes,
