Stopping the pill & wants normal after
Question:
I have now been off the pill for over a month as my husband and I are
trying to conceive a baby. What is normal. I have had a few spots of
blood a week after my period was due but since then nothing. My
periods were normal before going on the pill 5 years ago. Is this
normal. How long before I get a normal period.

Answer:
It is normal for some women to have to wait as long as three months
before their cycles return to normal. You will still be able to
conceive this entire time, it's just that your ovulation time (of
course) will be off.

Answer:
Hey debby, how are you doing? Once ovulation occurs, menstruation
almost always starts two weeks later (provided you aren't pregnant).
It is generally the first half of the cycle which is the most prone to
disruption. In addition, most doctors recommend having one period
first before trying to get pregnant. The only reason for this is so
that we can accurately "date" the pregnancy from the first day of your
last period. Best wishes,
