Answer:
Hey ralphy j, how are you doing? If, for personal reasons, you
don't want to go through your own doctor, you can phone or write
directly (the regional health authority will have contact details) to
your nearest genetics centre explaining the reasons for your concern
and, if appropriate, you will be given an appointment. Your genetic
counsellor or GP will explain all the issues involved so you have all
the information you need to make your own decisions. That dimple or
divide in the end of the chin which conjures up the image of tough
movie stars battling to save the universe (even Buzz Lightyear has
one!). Cleft chin is quite harmless, no more than a cosmetic
difference between humans. For a guide on what you can do in an
inherited autosomal dominant fashion with variable penetrance, please
visit BBC broadcast Gene and Health services.
Best wishes,

Answer:
You could try putting thick tape over your chin each night to stretch
out the skin. You may be able to retrain the skin to grow flat.

Answer:
You can have a simple surgical procedure to correct this. He will
either make small incisions to "lift" the skin in this area to a
higher point so that the cleft is not visible or in the case where a
cleft is deeper, he will take a small portion of fat from your neck to
"fill in" the cleft. Sorry, but I'm also a woman who likes clefts
(and dimples). 8)
