gas??
Question:
my husband says he has a poking sensation in the "v" (the v in middle of rib cage/chest plate bottom..oh do you know what I mean? )
...he says lung cancer but that is NOT funny at all. he got gasx and he said that he felt loosening up and his tummy started rumbling. his tummy so upset he couldn't stand having our daughter bouncing against his gut. what could this be?
Answer:
Hey Guest, how are you doing?

Clearly as it is shown below in this diagram, between the stomach and the diaphram, there is a air cavity which contains the ESOPHAGUS in the rear of the SMALL INTESTINE and surrounding these organs, they are protected by the BREASTBONE. THE ESOPHAGUS CONNECTS THE PHARYNX TO THE STOMACH and THE SMALL INTESTINE IS DIVIDED INTO THREE PORTIONS : TOTAL 20FT IN LENGTH : the DUODENUM- 10 INCHES, JEJUNUM- 2/5, and the ILEUM- 3/5. Sharp stabbing pains and mild to severe heartburn could be caused by a combination of these organs. The correct interpretation of acute abdominal pain is one of the most challenging demands made of any physican. (Silen, William 36)

Nothing will supplant an orderly painstakingly detailed history, which is far more valuable than any laborotory or roentgenological examination. Many paients of this type have died in the radiology department or the emergency room while waiting such unnecessary examination as electrocardiograms or films of the abdomen. (Silen, William 36)

The most obvious of "acute abdomens" may not require operative intervention, and the mildest of abdominal pains may herald the onset of an urgently correctable lesions. Even I remember a close family friend's husband eating some cabbage and/or spaghetti late one evening, experienced stomach pains, slept on it, and died during the night.

Any patient with adominal pains of recent onset requires early and through evaluation with specfic attempts at accurate diagnosis. (Silen, William 36) Your doctor will perform a physical examination and ask questions about your heartburn, such as: (Stone Heartburn)
When did it begin? How long does each episode last?Is this the first time you have had heartburn? What do you usually eat at each meal? Before you feel heartburn, have you eaten a spicy or fatty meal?Do you drink a lot of coffee, other caffeinated beverages, or alcohol? Do you smoke?Do you wear clothing that is tight in the chest or abdomen?Does the pain also appear in the chest, jaw, arm, or elsewhere? What medications are you taking? Are you
or black material?Do you have
?Do you have
?Are there other symptoms accompanying your heartburn?
The following tests may be performed:

to measure the pressure of your LES
to look at the inside lining of your esophagus and stomach

Prisoner: Look here, doctor! You've already removed my spleen, tonsils, adenoids, and one of my kidneys. I only came to see if you could get me out of this place!

Doctor: I am, bit by bit.
