Answer:

Yes. Da Ma Hua Yuan. We called it Tarbau market. Its near Holiday Plaza. Holiday plaza its on the left turn, the market is on the right turn. If u take a cab to this location... from City Square ... its about RM$6. if they trying to cheat u. ask them to go there via the meter fare.
Clothes that are worth to buy in JB will be Levis products. The rest like mango, etc... will be the same as SG price.
Well, can go the top floor catch movies? which is about RM$9 per show. Or u can go watch it on a Tueday which is a Movie day for them. Rm$6 per show.

Answer:

Accomendations wise,
there are several good hotels at JB.
ranging from RM$90-RM$200, can get pretty economical hotels around Wong Ah Fook area where City Square lies.
The Puteri Pan Pacific. single room comes with a nice queen sized bed, toilet facitilies are simply great. There's a bathtub, a shower cubicle, a spacious makeup table & basics like hairdryer & indoor safe. Room is spacious & air conditioning system is doing well. Check out the poolside bar, have a nice cocktail while enjoying the slow swim.
Hotel Grand Bluewave. single room is slightly smaller then Pan Pacific. but it offers a spectacular view of the Straits & local Singapore. The location is a bit bad, out of the district area.
Eden Hotel. Turning left at custom & going all the way straight, you will reach Eden. Eden Spa is well known for its facilities. Great room with a nice bed, I love the bed personally. Very comfy. besides, whats better when your hp has local SG reception? haha.
Hotel Grand Continental. Fairly old, but cheap though. The swimming pool looks disastrous for me, accepted it on my first night to JB years ago. Very near to eating places & pubs, good location.
Hotel New York. The only hotel in JB offering indoor swimming pool. They spend alot of money on maintaining the swimming pool though. Great spa facilities, check New York Spa at level 3. Room is good, but shower fares bad the time I went. Water was weak with the massage head. Great airconditioning system.
Mutiara
Taken over from the old Holiday Inn, the management didn't revamp this place much. Very old hotel, but still famous for its reputation & of course, the price is quite steep. Just located next to Holiday Plaza, it makes a great spot for shoppers!
I hope this helps!
Entertainment.
Karaoke are becoming popular in JB. A new one has just opened at City Square. RM$38 per head offers you a private VIP room, and whats more. a great spread of buffet! other labels like RedBox are available at Pelangi Plaza top storey.

Answer:

yamng.. these hotel clean 1 a not?
lol

Answer:

taman sri terbau (ta ma hua yuan) for makan...
city square for shopping.
holiday plaza for salons and ...cough... friendly stuff.
pelangi nothing much...
only been to these few places.
u can take cab, but make sure u ask for the price to the destination before u commit urself. if u do not trust the price the cabby gives, u can request for him to turn on the meter...
keep your important documents and items with you at all times. u can never be too careful.
it's JB after all.

Answer:

n0_Nick00 clean! of course clean. haha.
Yah I agree with LesPaul.
if driving, keep your doors locked at all times when you are in the vehicles.
Wong Ah Fook is famous for drug-peddlers, prostitution, rapists, robbers, thiefs. serious! no joke. They just open your door, grab your precious & make a run for it.
Parking vehicles, park at least a place where you can monitor it. license plate with "S" (SEF,SFE,SFZ) whatever, any SG cars will have a high risk of being scratched.
new plates SFM onwards, owners dont bear to drive into JB. Common carparks are the one at Holiday Plaza ,Taman Tebrau and the lanes at Taman Sentosa where most Singaporeans go.
For cab prices wise, from:
Custom to Holiday Plaza - RM$5 - $6
Holiday Plaza to Taman Sentosa - RM$4 - $6
Holiday Plaza to Taman Terbau - RM$4 - RM$6
Holiday Plaza to Pelangi Plaza - RM$5 - RM$6
but from places back to customs during the evening,
charges might increase to $6-$7. not more than that. Cab drivers will drop you at Merlin Tower, cross the bridge over to custom. TPs in JB catching for jaywalkers nowadays, cause that area doesn't have a green light for pedestrians.

Answer:

Answer:

Answer:

Answer:

For clubbings, go taman century. No far away from custom. About RM $4-5 only.

Answer:

I haven't been to johor for so many years... my friend went there months ago and was robbed... is it very dangerous to go there?

Answer:

sigh.. they catch jaywalkers but don't seem to put up as much effort on the robbers and thieves

Answer:

for some reason, some johoreans really hate singaporeans..
