i have chatuchak market in mind right now, what are some of the bargains you guys got from there? please share.
the replies i am expecting are something like ' i got this pair of levis for only SGD60!! ' , but feel free to go OT.

go chatuchak for the unbranded stuff or fake berkies... the rest you'll do better buying at pratunam. or if you noe where phloem chit is. I everytime go will buy ORIGINAL LEVIs there. depending on no., i get it for btw 45 - 60 odd... of course got more expensive one lah.. but then it's like 60% sg's px lorh... haha. And not overruns somemore. :

Pratunam is a district. there's Baiyoke Neung & Baiyoke Song which is 2 import export wholesale area. the clothes are damn cheap but need to buy in bulks.
Pratunam Square also not bad to walk, very new. there's alot of street markets in Pratunam..
at night can go Yaowarat for chinese dinner. eat at the roadside, very cheap & good.
Yaowarat in the morning serves as a market, pasar for locals. sells alot of locals delights & souvenirs.
Chatujak? dont waste time going there, things are so expensive man..

damn cheap more cheap then in BKK shopping districts itself coz they get their goods from the locals markets to sell.
basically at the local market u see u just grab & buy grab & buy !!

it really depends on one's spending ability.
basically $800-$1000 is good for 6-7Days spending
$1000-$1500 is good to live like a king
$1500-$2000 you will be rinsing mouth with sharkfin every morning in the hotel
$2000-$3000 woo, people kneel down to you & pray to you like goddess
$3000 & above you will be in the kidnappers list.

I would normally come out $1000 for everything. 7D6N.
there's once where I really save money,
took a coach to Hatyai - 13hours SGD$42
took a coach from Hatyai to Bangkok - 14 1/2 hours 500 bahts SGD$25
those days when budget flights ain't up & flying cost a bomb.
hahaha. that one really sit until backside got flowers blooming.

chatuchak is huge! hot and stuffy.. not easy to bargain also leh!
i prefer sa pahn put & pratunum! i didnt get to go bo be market.. heard the stuffs there are cheap! anyone went?
