v nice place. I have been there twice.
As for other islands like P. Tioman, P. Redang, the northeast monsoon is having its last burst of fire , v choppy seas so better dont go first. wait till april. But rawa island is fine.

But if u looking for a good snorkelling site with rich marine life, go tioman. Rawa has got nice blue sea but no good snorkelling site...marine life wise...they only got staghorn corals and nemo. v boring. hahah

Sipadan belongs to the state of Sabah (east malaysia). Have to fly there. Sipadan is one of those places that are often featured in discovery channel documentaries. It's a premium scuba diving site. It's very rare that non divers will go sipadan.
Just for the record, sipadan was the place where the Abu Sayaff terrorist kidnapped some tourists as hostages a few years back.
For rawa prices check out their website got the latest prices. Cos the last time i went to rawa was one year ago.
