i think those who go overseas just to take pics of tourist attractions (that they spend 10 mins viewing and photographing before the coach whisks them off to the next one) are missing most of the fun of travel. You should try and spend your time in one place that interests you - to really get to know the people and experience the place.

So the second best would be visiting tourist spots at allocated time. By the way, thats photography and videos for, take lotsa photos and get the memories back when you're back home..anyway, not all places are worth experiencing and exploring, they are just a one day or few days thingy, so choose the traveling plan that suits you best..

Dude, you got duped into some tour? Do some search and join a tour where they allow you to experience the culture yet have the flexibility in terms of time. And again, not many countries are worth visiting for a long period, they are just stereotypes of other culture.
ANyway you tried such long holidays? I have, but the most i can afford is a month off..perhaps we shared different views..with different responsibility and great to hear that you get to experience what you enjoy. For me, i'll be content with second best most of the time and once a while a long one..cheers..

U ever heard of a term called backpacking? tat's wat angmohs do...they take 2 mths break n they fly sumwhere exotic or exciting n tat they backpack.
Everything is a challenge in bkpack coz u nd 2 find places suited 2 ur budget..so u nd 2 stay in cheap motels or student hostels. If u run out of dough, then like what pple said here, bkpackers will then find a temp job or a one-day job to earn money.
Bkpacking is more exciting coz u dun just travel 2 normal tour sites but u oso meet a lot of pple frm different bkgrounds..

Backpacking? I do it once a year but of course not 2 months, thats too long, a month the most for me..
Do a search, don't get into a country for the sack of backpacking..some are not worth it and better of with a short tour
