you can try new world lodge hotel.... very budget and near to the night market (walking distance)
SGD$44 for 3 nights.....breakfast included damn worth it

7 storey hotel, outside is Big C, opposite is Central World Plaza, abt 20 mins walk to Siam Paragon, Siam Sq and MBK, nearest BTS Chidlom...
Price ard... SGD 40.00 per nite...
But many review say got cockroaches tho...
But have stayed thrice... not too bad.. basic amenities...

u can consider asia hotel. 3 star, abit old, but still ok, 2nd fl link to skytrain, near MBK, abt $70 a nite.

shopping, if u looking for cheap wholesale , try Pratunam, MBK is quite ok, Chatuchuk is very hot (for me) Siam Paragon mostly sell authentic branded stuff, which is quite expensive, some are more expensive than singapore, like their Miss Sixty for example.

chachutak, pratunum (whats the diff between the market and pratunam square?), suanlum, bo beh market, siam square and elephant building?
are these places quite cheap already? my thai friend recommend me to go paragon and central chitlom. are these places expensive? haha i want somewhere cheap where i could spend the most money on!

was @ BKK in May, my 1st trip too.. Stay @ Baiyoke Sky (tallest hotel in BKK). Pratunum Mkt was next to it. Basically, that place is a wholesale centre. Buy more, Cheap cheap!! haha..
Siam Sq + Siam Paragon + MBK r all next to each other.. Like in SG: Wisma, Taka, Heeren liddat..
Depends on wat quality of goods you're expecting... Good stuff will cost more.. Enjoy !

pratunam is a big shopping mall where u can get very cheap tshirts, bags, jeans and shoes!
Of cos if you are good in bargaining it would be more of a bonus. Try to buy more than one and you will get a better bargain. chatuchak is huge and very hot and crowded and only open on weekends.
