Question:
hi all, not sure if this is the right place to post this so apologies if its not supposed to be here
I'm thinking of volunteering for one of those overseas trip where you go built houses or dig wells etc in those less well off countries such as cambodia or mongolia etc during my holidays next mth. I remember seeing something like tat previously on the ncss website but that site is now down... does anyone know where else I can apply?

Haven't tried it myself but the followings are what i gathered from books and people i met along the way who had participated in one way or another. Check them out first and see which are the cause you felt most strongly about. Dunno bout the application or admission though, sorry!

Just to share or spur the spirit. You don't have to look far to work with such causes. I had a friend who went to thailand and helped out in their rebuilding post-tsunami. He worked primarily as a teacher but also involved in many construction projects either for houses or school. He tied up with a local U and went there for three months under the AIESEC banner.
Also, when i was in cambodia, i had the oppurtunity to drop by the
Jayavarman VII Children's Hospital in Siem Reap. Most tourist drop by for a blood donation(extremely safe despite the perceived condition at the moment) but i couldn't becoz of my health condition at that time. My point being, they need more than blood and money to continue their operation, and non-medical volunteers are always welcomed. Can check them out at
