generally i suggest travelling in spring or autumn, summer is too warm, winter is too cold to be enjoyable
i went korea few years ago during late spring
temp is quite cold... 10-15 mostly
not a cheap place to shop
seoul, pusan, the usual visit spots, big gray cities w lotsa malls like corex - somethin like a vertical version of suntec..etc
the DMZ is open to tourist, its quite interesting!
jeju is beautiful do try to go
and forget abt those historical site visits,
esp the prehistoric villages, caves, palaces
really nothing much literally, very empty
