Sports taping can prevent injury or facilitate an injured athlete's return to competition. In general, the tape should limit the abnormal or excessive movement of a sprained joint while also providing support to the muscles that the sprain has compromised.
Gino Ng, a sports physiotherapist and triathlete, is our course facilitator. The course covers taping principles and includes a significant amount of practical training. Four rolls of sports tape worth $40.00 and a taping handbook will be provided to each participant.
Some of the key body areas covered in the course include the ankle, knee (patella tendon and medial collateral ligament/MCL), fingers and thumb.
