Answer:

there's a lot of probs with your system:
no. of years does not necessarily translate to experience.
there is no such thing as a perfect player (at least not in Singapore)
you can be very good at positioning but have average skill
you can play for more than 7 years and still remain mentally/physically weak

Answer:

I think it's clearer if I put it as played 52 games of 2 hrs each as "one year", better?
actually there is never a perfect player, not even in NBA. My term of "perfect player" mean you can hardly find that player making any mistake, unforced error almost zero.
those who are excellent in positioning should have a lot of experiences. Coach can teach postioning, but in the end it the player who must experienced it before understand. It they are average skill, either they don't want to play hard, or physical limitation.
If you played 52 games of 2 hrs each x straight 7 continueous years, will you still remain mentally/physically weak?
In tennis, there is also a world recongised self grading guide call NTRP (National Tennis Rating Program). So why shouldn't there be one for basketball?

Answer:

cause basketball is a team sport?

Answer:

i tink it depends on who u play with. the competitors.
if u play with those neighbourhood kids fer 10 yrs. i dun tink there is anything much to learn.
if play with those cc players. there is many things to learn from defeat playing with them.
best, playing fer an established team like the national team or tong whye will be better, as individual weaknesses can be identified and the person will naturally improve as a player.
