Answer:

soccer allows u to bet and gamble.. while bball does not.. 70% of the ppl that are so into soccer becoz they place a bet..
and aso their sponser are spending the money to advertise and nt the bball..
try allowing bball to allow placing bets and u wil see sponser advertise for them and many ppl wil be into bball as well.. coz can place bets on both sports.. or rather entertainment..

Answer:

cos we were a british colony?

Answer:

i think its due to many factors like we have completely no hope in international basketball due to lack of height. eg i play as center when people my height are playing as guard overseas. haha. Its not like soccer where u don't need height. The point about mostly chinese playing is quite true but there are exceptions. I think wad maybe its also due to being colonised by the british. Look at the filipinos they have their own professional league and its mostly due to the fact they were colonised by the US. Even so they are far from the best in Asia.
Moral of the story play basketball in singapore not much future unless by some miracle u can play in NCAA or NBA. play in NCAA can get degree as well. haha. i hope one day some guy from sg can play in American college basketball.

Answer:

More media coverage on soccer, thus young kids are exposed more to soccer.

Answer:

Got a point actually. Look at most Soccer crazy countries in our region, mostly were under British rule for a period of time. Thus a sporting culture is developed.
Whereas in US, they are crazy about American Football and basketball

Answer:

Soccer number 1 supported sports in the world leh. It links every country up regardless of race language or religion.

Answer:

soccer no.1 supported, need not be played. i am pretty crazy supporting both basketball and soccer.
but i play basketball far better then i play soccer.
and btw, if soccer more popular, i tink they should build more street soccer courts then basketball courts.. there are overwhelming more bball courts then soccer courts..

Answer:

And the bball court is the best place to play soccer.. Test ur skills.lol

Answer:

Answer:

My grandfather knows S-league. My father not even knows NBL.
Play soccer still got money, play basketball got future meh? How much national player earn a month?
Not that we are shorter, we got hundred plus Singaporean above 1.9m. But then can they play good basketball? Even they can, they are all trained playing CENTRE. Traditional basketball mindset loh. If we can have many 1.9m & above players trained as guards, then no one will say Singapore is a shortie team.
How many top class basketball coaches in Singapore?
Even S-league got foreign talent to improve standard, NBL ...
Dare to import foreign soccer players, dare to import China women basketball players, don't dare to import men basketball players. Why? Men more expensive?

Answer:

Answer:

Answer:
