dun be lazy... just head out to sportlinks, queensway shopping centre, penisula shopping plaza or anywhere that are selling basketball shoes.. go take a look.. sometime they have offers and the prices are lower than one hundred bucks...
it is always best to try out the shoes on the spot rather than to read all those rave reviews about the shoes and ultimately getting it, you dun feel comfy in it..

haha true.. but the main thing is getting comfort and protect your feet... you land without cushion.. your feet and knees will suffer.. and not to forget.. if the guy is playing competition.. wearing slippers will get hhim ejected...

ahh i get what u mean.. so erm to get a suitable shoe, i tink no need too ex also actually.. all shoes hav their pros and cons.. depending on which type of shoe u wan.. high cut or low cut.. and which brand most imptly.. diff brand diff prices..
and1 is a streetwear brand, that's why is very rough on the surface.
adidas is more comforting but too much comfort support adds on the weight of the shoe, making u slow down.
nike.. style wise nice and the leading pack of the group, but quality wise leaves much to be desired.. many of my frens prefer other brands to nike.
Of coz there are many other brands of basketball shoes but i tink these are the ones most would be wearing.. personally i hav worn all of them too (1 nike, 3 adidas, 3 and1) so i hope my comments would be of help to u

May be u can try wearing running shoes if you want more flexibility, speed and comfort but be careful of your ankles. I wear running shoes whenever i play bball so far i haven't twist my ankle. I don't really like wearing bball shoes cos i don't like high-cutting shoes. So always warm up your body before u playing if not crack here crack there!
