anybody know any tricks?? right now the hardest i know is going forwards with crossing over on my right leg
i see some ppl can do jumps, blade backwards, blade with both feet pointing in opposite directions and blade with the tips of their wheels only

well i can do the crossover both side forwards, toe-toe and heel - toe. Scissors( duno wats its called too) and backward scissors. Now learning sidesurfing.
Hmmm well i can give a few tips cos im quite a beginner too . Maybe just tell me wat you wanna learn, those above only , the rest i haven learned yet.

ok for heel toe, ermm, it is to balance on the heel of the left leg and on the toe of the right leg.you can switch leg too.

For the scissors and backward scissors, its hard to explain here even with pics. You have to c it real life or on videos.Maybe go to East coast park to watch those pros there in the skating rink and ask them to show you. I'll try to find some videos for you.

RenYi` where do u skate normally? Try to go for smooth surfaces if u wanna learn tricks. It does not feel good to fall on rough rough ground..

i seldom skate but once i went to east coast park at the beginner's corner to try a bit. the ground is good but it's far.
yup, muz try on flat surface. if fall on road surface super pain
side note : now why is that place called "beginner's corner" when it's a place dominated by experts doing all kinds of stunts.... perhaps stunts are expected of a beginner eh?

lol...u mean the green color ground rink ah? the pros like go hang out there for two purposes.
1) show off their skills
2) practise their tricks and try to interact wif other fellow bladers
also, normally the rink is damn crowded on weekends. dats y if i wanna learn any trick, i wun go there to practise. i prefer practising or learn the tricks in a quiet place wif my frens. i.e. multi-storey carpark or the shelter around HDB flats. i would advise you maybe join ur frens to practise tricks bcos they can help to c where ur wrong at or learn from videos which is more difficult.

hmm i invert the color into negative color...its motion 8 titanium by salomon. If u r going for tricks i wun recommend to get my kinda skates..cos its fitness skate..got it at bout 330 imported from US. cos buy online so much cheaper than buying in sg ...a similar skates of mine cost bout 450+ here...c the diff?
for tricks...i would recommend u to get freeskates aka fsk (for slalom/tricks around cones)
if u r into grinding stuff jump on rails blah blah is aggressive..but prepare for higher chance of injury.
for me im onli at the basic tricks of slalom..de5ert is better than me..

jumping onto the kerb is more fun and its also faster heh
i duno about ice skating as i have not ice skate for almost 6 years lol
spinning should be good as long as you dun get dizzy and then decide to let it all out on the ice haha
