Rollerblading vs IceSkate
Question:
Rollerblading vs IceSkate, which is harder to learn?
ice skating can be harder to learn because the damm rig is so full of ppl and little children ( i went ice palace during sch holdiay...)
but i feel that ice skating is easier because it has the jagged tip to help in breaking
for roller blading, can only use the T-break or the louya built in brake
come :chitchat:

Answer:

LOL.. I haven't been ice skating BEFORE! grrr.. But roller blading is very tiring you noe.. Cuz i've been roller blading since I was P2. (maybe dat explains why i'm so tall? i stretch n stretch my legs XD)
Would want to try ice skating w/o falling down. >_<

Answer:

I feel that rollerblading is easier to control, maybe because I learnt roller blading before I started to learn ice skating.
I think the most important thing is to break a fall ba. You should always fall on your knees. But then, everytime I do that in ice-skating, my knees very pain coz of the hard cold ice! And if you fall on a rough road while roller blading... it hurts as well...

Answer:

Yar lor.. Which one more diffcult to learn? Maybe ice-skating? Coz gt more ice.. then more slipperly mahz.. Rte?

Answer:

It's easier to start skating on ice. But with a pair of inline skates, you can spend more time learning different skills as compared to being on ice cos of the fact that you can skate even right outside your doorstep. You don't have to make a trip down to Jurong or Kallang (which is closed for renovation).

Answer:

i enjoy both..
but everytime i ice-skate.. i'm damn scared that my fingers would be sliced off if i fall!

Answer:

i personally think ice skating is easier -.- i can skate better than i blade..
ever since i stopped both activities, i find it easier to pick up skating than blading, now i cant seem to blade down slope -.-

Answer:

yes yes ice skating is more fun...anybody wans to organise one iceskating outing ?

Answer:

I think is probably cos of your weight distribution. Must put your weight around the heel area of your skates otherwise you'll start to go out of control.
Anyway.... if you want to compare it that way, how are you supposed to ice skate downhill??

Answer:

coz there isnt an ice skating ring tt goes downhill ? snow is different though.. :/
as for roller blading, if i lean on the heels, i felt like falling backwards -.-` haiz..
