After looking at the Man Utd vs Fulham & porto match... I realise the current batch of Man Utd isn't the same as the double & treble winners squad during the 90s.
They can't pass well, and they seems to be slow in attack. Different from the fast counter attack and fluent passing that they possess when I first supported them.
But supprisingly, the only midfielder that left was Beckham, the rest of them are still in the squad. Central defenders have changed and so have the strikers.
Did Beckham really make the difference?
Fletcher can pass, but he is slow and not as accurate as senior becks. Ronaldo? He can dribble very well, control it and seldom lose possession of it, but his passing.. CANNOT MAKE IT!
Keane is getting older each day and slower too. Giggs? No longer as lightning quick as before, and his trademark runs are now no longer as effective as before.... Sigh..
The only player that has improve over the time is Scholes, not only is he sharper and a better passer, he can join in the attack very well! See the goal he scored against porto? How often u see such great positioning? haha..
The other new signings, Demjba²(Dunno how to spell)... Never seen him play offen, so can't judge much, but I still find butt a better player than he is, Dunno why fergie wanna buy him anyway.
Klesebson (I also dunno his name) is great with the brazil squad, but yet to be a regular first team player, and i feel BUTT is again.. a better player than he is..
And there is a phil neville too! Tackling every soul he sees, more effective than the 2 new signings.
WHY does fergie wants 5 DMCs for? To make a squad like AC milan?
And now Rio is off suspended for 8mths, he is left without a quality backup defender. Brown just came back from his year long injury, and isn't as sharp as before.. he need games in the reserves and not 1st team football. Gary neville is a great replacement as a central defender, but his lack of height & speed, makes players like Henry get pass him easier. And when gary is on the centre, phil isn't really the kind of right back you would want, Yes he can tackle well, he is better as a DMC than a right back.
Fergie should have bought another defender instead of 2 DMCs.. damnit. What is he thinking?
Hopefully he can aquire Kevin Hofland or any top defenders in and not letting such a quality player move to other sides like chelsea or bacca...

are you a man utd fan? anyway i think another aspect is the cohesiveness of the team. look at arsenal. i just feel the whole team is like a family. chelsea and man utd got many new signings and obviously, there lacks some kind of bonding or team spirit.

It;s not a manner of whether he wanted to move, but how he acted.
When Fulham rejected the bid, Saha sulked and complained to the media. after a loss to a team(forgot who), he even hinted that perhaps he was delibrately not playing his best because of his unhappiness with the Fulham's refusal.
If I'm in Saha's shoes, I wouldn't want to leave Fulham.
1stly I dont like Man Utd.
2ndly He was brought up all the way from the lower division by Fulham.
3rdly Even If I do want a move I wouldnt move halfway through a season. Especially when your team is on a losing streak. Come and think of it, if my memory serves me right, Fulham told Man Utd to come back and bid after the Season but they said no.
