I thought Owen made a wise decision to join Newcastle instead of returning to Liverpool.
Firstly, he will play regularly in Newcastle and automatically earn his place in the national squad, not true if he is in Liverpool. Secondly, I supposed he should be better paid in Newcastle than in Liverpool. Thirdly, Benitez's style of play might not suit Owen afterall, using the 4-5-1 formation.
Nonetheless as a fan of Liverpool, I'm disappointed not to see him back
