Answer: A worldclass central midfielder for 14million pounds? arsenal lost the championship to chelski, yet they are selling a worldclass midfielder? what are they trying to do? could they be eyeing ballack? which man utd is reportedly chasing for 10million pounds? Answer: i think ballack might come to man utd next season...not this...his contract is ending soon... Vieira going to Juventus is going to be quite a shock... Answer: vieria already going to juventus ?? where you get that news ? ballack can come to man u meh ? wait chelsea do "hjiacking" again Answer: chelski getting essien... plus they hv lanpa and tiko (tiago) joker (joe cole) robber (robben) duff mai kua leh (makalele) so many players liaoz still want ballack >.< man utd really short in the midfield department no heavyweights in that area :/ and vieira is already confirm going to juve attending a medical as we speak... i got the news from soccernet.com and uefa.com Answer: veira selling at 14m is a good price for his age somemore i think arsenal needs a new leader.... hope man utd gets ballack .... chelsea are like mad pple in the market see anything just grab... hope to see them fail in the upcoming season and for many season to come...by then they will have to sell players to recover losses... Answer: 14 mil is cheap :/ they shld hv sold him last season to real for 20mil or more sia :/ Answer: they didnt sell them to real cause they feel there is real potiential in him .... especially after they no loss season... but after last year results only winning the fa cup by a whisker, arsenal know that they have better option in other players then him... Answer: i tink a more likely replacement would be jenas instead of ballack cheaper n younger Answer: TURIN, Italy, July 15 (Reuters) - Patrick Vieira says he is proud to have joined Juventus from Arsenal and is ready for the challenge facing him at the Serie A champions. The former Arsenal captain completed a £13.75million move from Highbury on Friday by agreeing personal terms with the Italian club. 'I'm really proud, I'm really happy today, because it's a really special day,' the 29-year-old France midfielder told a news conference in Turin. 'For me, in the last few years, Juventus has always been at the top, not only in European football but also national as well. 'So for me to join Juventus is a fantastic achievement in my career. I'm really proud and really happy. 'It's going to be a really big challenge but I'm going to be ready for that.' Asked if it had been hard to leave Arsenal whom he helped to win seven major domestic titles during a nine-year stay, Vieira said: 'Of course, when you spend nine years somewhere it's always going to be difficult, but when you make a decision you think about what you want to achieve. 'It was quite difficult, but that's life...I achieved a lot with Arsenal, in the nine years I spent there we won a lot of trophies. And I move on. 'What I want is just to keep going and keep winning trophies for my new team. 'Juventus has been a really stable club in the past few years and when I look at myself as a human being and as a player, and I look at Juventus, it's the perfect club for me.' Vieira, who has signed a five-year contract with Juventus, will once again be working under Fabio Capello. The Juventus coach was in charge at AC Milan when they signed the Senegalese-born midfielder as a teenager in November 1995. PECKING ORDER At Milan, Vieira found himself well down the pecking order, behind world-class midfielders like Italian Demetrio Albertini and fellow Frenchman Marcel Desailly. He made just two Serie A appearances before being sold on to Arsenal the following year. Vieira insisted his previous Italian experience had been a positive one. 'Capello was always able to find the right words to motivate me,' he recalled. 'Back then, there were many other talented players and there wasn't room for me, but he made me believe in myself. 'It was a year in which I learnt a lot. I was very young. Now I'm a more mature person. I'm coming to Italy with an objective: to enjoy myself, to win and to help the team to win.' Asked how he would deal with the racism that often mars Serie A matches, Vieira replied: 'I know it exists, but it's the work of a small minority. 'It would be a pity to turn down an opportunity like this because of something like that. 'It's a problem all black players have to put up with in Italy. If it happens to me then I'll deal with it, just like all the other players do. 'The important thing is to show what you can do on the pitch.' Answer: i'm speechless... Answer: i remember wenger sold overmars and petit to barca that year when they won the league doubles. and probably the main reason was vieira wasn't as effective as before. Answer: yea, havent seen alot of pin point through balls from him lately.. its the right time to offload him Answer: sad to see vieira go, came quite a shock, just what the hell is wenger doing? pass his prime? wth, he keeps on winning tackle in midfield? didn't pat rice see it? the whole dressing room is on a record low when the players heard that vieira is gonna go juve, lost edu already now vieira?... jenas? ballack? as replacement? ballack is good.. jenas? dont really like him.. anyway or what hope wenger can do something about it and don't keep on trying to get those impossible target like julio baptista... Answer: i dont think Arsenal will suffer too much on-the-pitch. Offloading Vieira is still a good soccer and business decision at this point. im sure there are gems to be recruited to Arsenal. Furthermore, i believe Wenger thinks and plans far ahead. And Vieira is probably surplus to those plans Answer: players who leave arsenal for cash transfers usually are past their peak bah look at anelka, overmars(not that bad),petit... Answer: none of them had pass their peak when being sold..just that maybe wenger felt that the price was too good to reject. Unless they buy new good n xperienced players...i doubt their next season would b good, fabregas n flamini still unexperienced, pires old n uneffective Answer: he nv belongs to arsenal ..wenger is a ruthless guy,...tt's y he's "successful with arsenal Answer: wat a waste,, EPL lost a great Midfielder.. Keano lost a foe in midfield Answer: No more fighting screen when arsenal vs man U liao hahaha Answer: from what im thinking, Wenger may be developing the 4-3-3. Besides, he has speedy n skilful players so he can play such a formation. the back 4 we all know who-they-are. the mid 3 could be composed of fabregas, flamini and the new Hleb. fabregas and flamini are both promising. Hleb should prove to be useful as a AMC. Besides, they still have gilberto silva to cover the DMC position. Toure could also be converted to a DMC since he's pretty versatile. the front 3 would probably be reyes on the left, lundberg on the right and henry/van persie at the centre. n yes they need another forward. dats y they are quite interested in Baptista
