Anyway galactico means out of this world or something like that. Because Real Madrid is (arguably) the best team in La Liga, and even the world, spanish fans call the team and its players galactico. I think the glamour factor counts too...

Galacticos are a waste of time. Mourinho is right- do u need a large group of galaticos to win titles. Madrid last won Spanish league title 2 yrs ago. And then Valencia won it- with almost no galaticos last year.
Teamwork, hard work, determination and concentration r more important in winning titles than some galaticos.
