Barcelona have reached an agreement over the transfer of midfielder Luis Garcia to Liverpool, according to reports in the Spanish media.
Sports dailies Marca and Sport claim that the deal has already been agreed, although Barcelona are yet to make an official announcement.
If the reports are correct, Luis Garcia would be the third Spanish player to join Rafael Benitez's Liverpool side this summer following the transfers of Josemi and Antonio Nunez.
Real Sociedad midfielder Xabi Alonso is also close to sealing a deal with the Merseyside club.

Manchester United tonight agreed to sell Diego Forlan to Spanish club Villarreal.
The 25-year-old Uruguay striker has failed to hold down a first-team place at Old Trafford since his £7.5million move from Independiente in January 2002.
And, following the summer signing of Alan Smith from Leeds, he has been deemed surplus to requirements despite injuries to front-line strikers Ruud van Nistelrooy and Louis Saha.
A statement on the club's official website read: 'Manchester United has reached agreement with Spanish club Villareal for the transfer of Diego Forlan.
'The transfer will be completed upon agreement of Diego's personal terms and completion of his medical.'
Forlan scored 10 goals in 63 Premiership appearances for United.
Mariam Solsona, spokesperson for the Spanish club, confirmed to PA International: 'He has agreed a five-year deal. He is flying into Valencia at around 10.30pm tonight and he will be presented at 1pm tomorrow after his medical.'

Newcastle defender Jonathan Woodgate has joined Real Madrid after passing a medical.
The 24-year-old will be unveiled at a press conference at the Bernabeu tomorrow morning.
The deal for the England centre-back is believed to be in the region of £13.4million.
Woodgate joins fellow England stars David Beckham and Michael Owen at the Spanish giants.
Woodgate arrived in Madrid last night on a flight from Munich where he had a consultation with a German specialist over the thigh injury which has kept him out of action since April.
He has suffered with various injuries during his time at Newcastle, playing only 37 of the 128 games the Magpies have played since his move from Leeds.
'Newcastle United and Real Madrid wish to announce that terms have been agreed today for the transfer of Jonathan Woodgate,' a United spokesman said.
'The player passed his medical examination this morning and will join Real Madrid on a four-year contract, plus an optional one year, today.
'Newcastle United record their appreciation at the manner in which Real Madrid have concluded negotiations, which speaks well of the relationship between the two clubs.'
Sir Bobby Robson maintained he did not want to sell the player he bought barely 18 months ago for £9million but was resigned to his departure.
