Ruud Frustrated By Transfer Speculation

United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy insists he does not want to leave the club, describing rumours of a move to Spain as "total nonsense."
Speculation of a transfer to La Liga resurfaced at the weekend, but the Dutch forward says the rumours are simply not true.
"I am not interested in a transfer, not this year and also not during my contract," he said. "I hope I will play in Manchester after that."
Despite denials from the player's agent, Ruud has decided to set the record straight himself.
"It feels like a returning theme every year," said a frustrated van Nistelrooy. "I can only repeat myself as I have done in the past few seasons by saying it is a total nonsense."
The Dutchman's current contract ends in summer 2008. But, flanked by Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney, and with Ryan Giggs and Ji-sung Park bolstering United's attack, the future is promising for Sir Alex Ferguson's team.

Roy Keane believes Alan Smith has a great chance of developing into a complete midfield player.
The England star has proved to be a worthy understudy for Keane, who is currently recovering from a broken bone in his foot.
Indeed, Smith's combative style and determined nature have gone a long way in helping to fill the gaping hole created by the skipper's enforced absence.
Keane says he has been impressed by what he's seen from the 24-year-old but insists Smith still has much to learn about the role.
"I think Alan's had an eye on the position for a while given the amount of games he played there when he was at Leeds," Keane told MUTV.
"He'll be the first to admit he's got a lot to learn, but with me being out of the team he's got a great opportunity to gain some good experience and he's done well over the last few games.
"Alan needs a good run in midfield so he can gain experience against good players."

"I've heard him talking about it recently," added Keane. "But I like to judge players on their performances rather than what they're going to do.

"More than anything he just needs a good run in that position to gain experience against good players."
