Question:
I have been taking Flagyl for Diverticulitis and am still experiencing some side affects though I have been off the drug for 3 weeks. Does anyone know how to get rid of the metallic taste that comes with taking flagyl? Answer: Hey Susan, how are you doing? Yes. A sharp, unpleasant metallic taste is not unusual. However, according to Pfizer, Flagly, Drug Information Sheet, you should check with your doctor if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome. This could be a sign of a serious medical disease. * change in taste sensation * dryness of mouth * unpleasant or sharp metallic taste For excellent patient education resources, visit eMedicine's Esophagus, Stomach, and Intestine Center.
