Question:
Is it advisable to take this drug with acidopholis, or other spore
forming lactic acid bacteria? Would the drug just wipe them out before
they could do me any good. I am trying to clear up a tooth infection
and I want to avoid making a yeast infection I've had for months any

There is no interaction between Acidulated Phosphate Fluoride Dental Foam and Doxycycline, nor for Spotted Alder (spore forming lactic acid bacteria). However, if you are taking doxycycline and have been consuming alcohol on a regular basis for a long period of time, the drug may be broken down at a faster rate than normal.

Treatment of candidal infections (yeast infections) primarily is accomplished with appropriate antifungal drugs. Women who are pregnant or diabetic, taking antibiotics, birth control pills or steroids, or who have a weakened immune system are more likely to get repeated yeast infections that may not clear up easily with proper treatment.

Candidal infections are sensitive to a broad range of antifungal agents. Nystatin (Mycostatin, Nilstat) Fluconazole oral (Diflucan) and one of the imidazoles are the most commonly used agents for oral or cutaneous candidiasis.

Over-the-counter pain medications such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil) may be used. Take these as directed on the package and around the clock on a schedule while you arrange a dental appointment.

Thanks for the info Byron, I am not sure what those 2 products you
mentioned are(Acidulated Phosphate Fluoride Dental Foam and
Doxycycline, nor for Spotted Alder (spore forming lactic acid
bacteria), but what I was refering to is "live acidopholis" or a
product I have been taking called "Threelac". I was wanting to
minimalize the damage done by taking a round of antibiotics and wanted
to know if any of these products would be effective, or killed
outright by the drug? Steve
