Anagrelide
Question:
My hem/onc has recently up my dose of agrylin to 1 mg. Has anyone ever
had severe joint pain and extreme migraines. He said it didn't matter
if I take it all at once or .5 in morning and .5 at night. Any
information or ways to deal with the pain and migraines would be
greatly appreciated. Thank you and god bless.

Answer:
Hey guest, how are you doing?

For headache mild pain medicine may help. Severe headache is a side effect of Anagrelide that you should report to your prescriber or health care professional as soon as possible.

Thrombocytopenia appears to be the main dose-limiting adverse effect; headache can occur upon initiation of Anagrelide, which can be minimized if started at low doses (1 mg bid). Joint pain
increases with exposure to heat and improves with cold; a single dose of aspirin may provide relief for several days.

Best wishes,
