Question:
I've been under doctor's care because of endocarditis, a potentially
deadly infection of the heart.
The usual medication is a combination
of penicillin and gentamicin. The gentamicin has potential side
effects that include damage to the kidneys, damage to both the inner
and outer ear.
I am experiencing some kind of dizziness and my
balance is out of kilter.
My question are:
Are these temporary
conditions?
How long do they last?
Answer:
Your symptoms could have everything to do with the endocarditis - you
need to tell your doctor about them right away.
