Tussi-12DS
Question:
Hi, I am giving my son a prescription called Tussi-12DS for cough. I am wondering what other things it treats? Stuffy nose, runny nose, sneezing, etc? I can find info about Tussi-12D and Tussi-12S, are these the same as Tussi-12DS? thanks for any help you can provide. Answer: I believe you hit on every thing it covers. I found this when looking for the basic drug Tussi: "...is a antihistamine that relieves runny nose, sneezing, and watery eyes. This product is not intended to treat chronic cough caused by smoking, asthma, emphysema, heart failure, or problems in which there is a large amount of phlegm." I believe by combining the "D" and the "S" that this means the drug covers more symptoms that just either by themselve. Of course, you could always call your local pharmacy and they would be able to tell you exactly... :P Answer: How many mg of hydro per teaspoon of hydro-tussin-exp??? THANKS BILLYBOB Answer: Hey ellen4566, how are you doing? Tussi-12 D suspension is used to relieve cough and congestion due to colds, acute respiratory infections, including bronchitis and allergies and may help to relieve sneezing and itching associated with allergies. Tussi-12 S is used to decrease the symptoms caused by colds or allergies. Tussi-12 D tablets is used to relieve cough and congestion due to colds, acute respiratory infections, including bronchitis and allergies and may help to relieve sneezing and itching associated with allergies. Contact your pediatrician or health care professional regarding the use of this medicine in children. Best wishes,
