Drug Test - need to know ASAP
Question:
Had a positive drug test for opiates and methamphetamine. I know the reason for the opiates, but can anyone tell me is any of my following meds can cause a positive meth test.

Duragesic, Prochloperazine, Promethazine, Cheratussin, Astelin, Advair, Ambien, Ferrous Sulfate, B12 injections, Protonix, Vicodin, Colace, Augmentin.

Thanks.

Answer:

Promethazine, Astelin, and Advair all can cause false-positive Meth results. Any OTC cold and allergy medications as well as Nasal Sprays can all cause this result.
