Does the doctor writing the prescription get notified if you have the prescription filled?
Answer:
No. He/she has no idea what you have done w/ it. Of course this depends on the drug being subscribed. Some meds are required by law to be reported to ruling bodies by the pharmacy. This is how "they" know when a physician is writing to many controlled drug scripts.
