Daisy my little girl (Cavalier), doing well after pancreatitis and a stroke
Question:

Some of you might remember a few weeks back Daisy was very ill with pancreatitis and she had to go on a drip. Then she had a stroke. She has since been on a strict diet and has lost a bit of weight and she is like a different dog. She has so much more energy, I used to have to carry her up hills when out walking, but now she just trots along without any effort, of course I make sure she does`t over do it, but I am truly amazed at the difference in her. Just a few weeks ago I didnt think I would have her much longer as she was so poorly. I have been so down after losing Barney back in March and thinking I was going to lose Daisy so soon after and now I am looking forward to the new year and a happy healthy Daisy despite her heart problems. Happy New Year to Everybody.

I will echo Mini's words. Every day counts. Daisy sounds really well. Poppy (CKC) has had similar problems but is still plodding on and although she has her down days, is still pretty happy. How old is Daisy?

Daisy will be 10 years old and has had a heart condition since she was about 6 or 7 and has really been quite healthy up to the last six months. She has dryeye which she has to have optimune every day which is working really well at the moment, but quite expensive. She is also on Fortekor and Vivitone. She is going back to the vets on the 9th of this month for an eye check and to find out whether she is staying on the vivitone.

Glad to hear your dog is also doing well at the moment.
