Daisy's back leg (again...)
Question:
Daisy hasn't had too good a day today. She is happy in herself but her back leg looks like the improvements we saw last week (after 6 anti-inflammatory injections) have stopped and she is starting to struggle. she is not as bad as last weekend, her leg just seems to slide out to the side and she jas difficulting controlling it, rather than it dragging behind her like it did last Saturday-Tuesday. We have wood floors mostly downstairs and that doesn't help. I bought four carpet runners today but she walks around them She is on a week of steroids, but I can't see them helping much. Perhaps I am wrong. Would the vet give her more jabs do you think? I've also been thinking about getting her a mikki boot but the vet says to wait. I think I'll probably bring Friday's appointment forward if this continues. Katrina. x Answer: Hi Katrina I am sorry Daisy has not had such a good day I do not know what the vet will advise about steroid injections ...it is very hard to watch our much loved dogs struggling, maybe see how she goes tommorow then bring the vets appointment forward if she has another bad day...a little resin on the paws stops the feet slipping (used to use it in the show ring) but don't know where you would get it nowadays...maybe someone in the show section might if we ask Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
