Maybe you could try going to petshops & get them to help? They see dogs all the time. Maybe they'll be able to track.

Ruffie is found but stuff happened along the way, involving my friend's family and his neighbour. sigh. now ruffie in SPCA cannot go back to my friend. =(
but he's safe and sound. that's what comforting... =)
