yups i would want to keep one. but i would think twice cuz heard that they need baths quite regularly as compared to certain breeds. gonna be a major chore to bathe them when they are huge. :P

it is not on the hdb approved list. meaning it is an offence to keep it and your dog may get taken away.
also there is a reason why there is this list. it is stupid to keep a large dog in such a small space.
when u have a big house with a garden then maybe you could consider it.
btw i have a miniature schnauzer - and she takes up all the space in our flat.
wouldnt even consider another dog.
when i was trying to choose a dog breed i made this list for my kids to use on my website. it shows all the approved breeds.
unfortunately some of the links are broken now since the american kennel club website changed their folder structure and i cant be bothered to update them.
btw you can only keep one dog in an hdb flat anyway

Actually I see a few neighbours of mine got dogs tat are not approved to be kept in HDB flats..From wat I understand.. If the dog is well trained..Dun cause any problem..its okay to keep them in HDB flats unless ur Neighbour bway song with u go KPKB to the authorities loh.

my fren has one (5 room hdb).. gotta bring it out for jogs regularly... and when it walk down the staircase.. it's legs will like tremble... need to let him exercise... and it's very fun to jog wif a GR.. and very hard to control esp when it wanna chase cats or other dogs... !

my neighbourhood here got this uncle got 3 dogs. i guess is terrier. sooo cute!!! and the owner let them walk by themselve.
i think one dog is already a big headache. my bf got this jack russell terrier. -____- need all the attention from us and we need to walk him 3 times a day and play with him everytime..

i think it's cruel to keep big dogs in hdb flats, unless u're like those old ah peks who have already retired and have lotsa spare time to take the dogs out for walk.
Anyway if anyone of u live in Toa Payoh or near Toa Payoh, u guys can come down to my estate, the multi storey carpark there for an informal dog gathering every night ard 8+pm to 10pm. My mom brings my dog down there to meet up with the other dogs n their owners daily. Highest attendance can go up to 10 over dogs.

my fren is keeping a GR and a poodle even though she stays hdb~ ultimately it still boils down to the pet owners themselves.. i have seen some people living in private property chucking their dogs outside their houses or tying them to chains...

If u're just talking about official rulings, then definitely you're not allowed to have them in a HDB apartment.
Quoting the AVA website,
