Answer:

i wun put it to sleep.. but it takes alot extra care to look after a blind dog... it can't tell u it`s miserable... but as long as u r there for ur dog... it`s can feel..remenber dog nose very sensitive take good care of ur dog.. don't rob it`s living

Answer:

dogs can sense feeling...
when u see him bumping into things coz he is blind.. losing weight, frail and weak, i guess this wld be the time to consider putting it to sleep...
personally, as long as the dog is healthy, i wont consider putting it to sleep, even if it is frail (but generally healthy) it wld take alot to end his/her life too :/
my grandaunt had an akita (in aus) tt was stung by a bee on the eye, went blind.. but then the infection and stuff coz it to be weak, seeing her pet dog bumping into stuff and being weak, my grandaunt took the decision to end his misery... btu she cried for 2weeks so yeah.. ending a life is tough :/

Answer:

i wun.. nv would i.. i love dogs too much..

Answer:

My grandparent has a dog back when they're living in those shophouse but eventually they have to move to a HDB flat and they couldn't bring the dog along as the dog's too big...So...its saddening la,the people come and forcefully took him away while the dog cried for my grandparent to stop them from taking him away...the whole scene really very sad lor. Haiz...he is still strong and all...So if your dog's going blind but still healthy, please don't go put him to sleep...is dam sad one, they got feeling de leh.

Answer:

my dog is 11 and he's almost blind too. got cataract in his eyes n always bump into things. heart got prob cos he's too hyperactive (for his age). i nvr intend to put it to sleep

Answer:

hey biker, from the picture in your signature... your hair is so 70s.

Answer:

There's no straightforward answer to your dilemma, but the main criteria in my opinion would be the quality of life it would lead. If it can adapt to blindness and there are no complications, of course there's no problem right? No need to put it to sleep just because it's blind. My neighbour's dog became blind in its old age too, but it's still very healthy. Just that my neighbour got to take extra care of it....no other problems.
But on the other hand, if it's suffering, then what's the point in prolonging a life just for the sake of it when it's not enjoying quality of life anymore? Making the choice to let go is difficult but then again, would you rather have your pet be by your side even though it's suffering?
So it all depends on the condition of your doggie

Answer:

I have no right to make the decision for them.. So i wont.. Unless they are really suffering..

Answer:

Answer:

i would if he go totally blind.
cos i think it would affect him mentally not being able to see again..
mercy killing.

Answer:

No matter how sick, I know I can't. I'll let it live his life to the fullest, by providing or giving him things/food that he likes the most.

Answer:

I won't. I use to have a blind goldfish that I hand feed

Answer:

would you kill your parent if he/she went blind? i won't...
and i won't kill my pet if it went blind...

Answer:

If my dog is suffering from some terminal illness its best to put him to sleep.. My Family would rather him die in his sleep then let him live in pain..It mayb hard to "kill" ur pet but wun it be worst if u see him suffering in pain? I dont want tat I rather put him to sleep..If his blind..I am okay if he dont hurt himself by banging things when moving..If not I will seek professional advice doing anything..
