Unconditioned Love Carnival 2003 @ West Coast Park
Question:
Date : 13th and 14st of September 2003
Venue : West Coast Park, Grand Lawn (Carpark 3)
Time : 12pm to 9.30pm
INTRODUCTION
Events Phantasy (A full-pledge Event Management Company) is initiating a 2 day children and pet carnival.
‘Unconditional Love Carnival 2003’ (Where Children Meet Pets) aimed to educate public on responsible pet ownership, encouraging adoption and as well as creating an opportunity for children to be able to mingle with dogs and through that learn to have compassion for them. At the same time, Events Phantasy hope to help organizations like SPCA, NANAS and AVA raise some funds.
We want to lend our hands to help those unwanted and waiting to be loved dogs, cats and rabbits out there. We hope that through this carnival, pet owners would be more responsible, there would be a drop in abandon cases, a rise in compassion for animals and a hope for the unloved pets.
We also like encourage families to treat their pets as close as part of their own family members. There is where the educational aspect for children and pet-owners comes in. Having a dog, cat or rabbit in the family is just like having a new member under the same roof. It also requires Food, Shelter, Time and lots of LOVE as much as a child.
Through the proposed activities, example, The talks that are going to happen during our event will gives the public (Those pet-owner and those who are interested to keep a pet) a good idea about being kind to the Man’s Best Friend, their pet.
OUR OBJECTIVES
To encourage Singaporeans to step out of the houses with their children and come out to have fun.
Let’s start educating our children to be more responsible, be more loving towards another LIFE.
As children are the future and everyone knows that. We want to educate our children through this carnival to learn that Pets have LIFE too. They are just like us need to eat, rest and play hard. They need LOVE and attention. And in-return, they give LOVE too by being man’s best friend.
Giving our children an alternative lifestyle instead of TV programmes and Video games.
Taking care of their Pet means time, effort and Love. This carnival hopes to train our children to cultivate the right lifestyles and attitude. Sometimes, it might be healthier bringing the dog out for a walk or jog especially as a great families outing too.
To allow children to cultivate animal bonding through this carnival. And much more than this, they learned compassion.
Pets can help family to develop closer ties by providing a common ground for family activities and togetherness. For example, having a family dog allows all in the family to be involved in spending time with it, looking after it, feeding it or taking it for walks.
The keeping of pets and caring for animals has been shown to have a beneficial effect on people because Pets provide unconditional love and companionship.
Letting our children to get close to these kind and adorable pets.
A lot of families in Singapore always worry about keeping a pet at home, simply because of “fear” or otherwise ignorance about keeping one. As our theme says “Unconditional Love”, We wish to educate these families that as long as they know how, keeping a pet is definitely having more benefits than keeping a baby doll. In that case, our future of Singapore would be more responsible in taking care of another life animal, showering Love on them and being responsible towards their love ones.
To provide a sharing ground for all pet-owners on how to take real good care of their pets.
A lot of times when a new family acquire a pet, they would have lots of questions like why their pet always look tired or even which is the right food for them etc…This carnival would have these club representatives to identify the problems and giving them some advise on how to take care of their pets.
To promote socially responsible pet ownership (for present pet owners, new owners as well as for those up and coming ones)
With the rise of more abandon pets, we want to re-create the awareness to pet owners to be responsible for their pet. Keeping a pet comes with its responsibilities, for one has to provide its basic needs of food and water, shelter, opportunity for normal activity and exercise and healthcare. Once you acquire a pet, you become responsible for its care and welfare. Your pet will need your love and attention, and it will need you to look after it for its entire life. Keeping a pet involves a lifetime commitment to love, provide and care for it.
To promote adoption of pets.
There are many unwanted, stray dogs, cats and rabbits currently waiting to be adopted and loved by owners. Through this carnival, we want to encourage Singaporeans to adopt pet rather then buying one. We want to provide a helping hand to the unwanted and stray dogs, cats and rabbits here in Singapore to find new homes.
To help raise funds for organization like SPCA, Nanas and ASD.
These organizations require funds annually for to operate. We hope to do our part to help them with this carnival.
OUR TARGETED AUDIENCE
All Families with Children
All Pet Owners in Singapore
Our Expected crowd size : 10,000 for two days
