After reading all the postings on this forum and llstening to the incessant radio ads, I can't help but to conclude you guys have really lost it in organizing this NYE party. One can't help but to compare your party to Zouk Out or even last year's NYE party at Sentosa. At east these organizers do it with style and with a good DJ line up. Yours is nothing but a scam. Just using the Ministry or Hed Kendi branding is only a draw to the clueless. Those in the know all realize MOS is credible club in London. They trash their brand around in Asia with this colonnial attitude that we Asians are stupid. For Centro to support that is a sham. Dave Seaman is not a MOS resident, in fact he hardly plays there. Many of us heard his disappointingly boring set at Zouk earlier this year. Electric Tease and Slacker are C grade DJs and you are trying to hype them up to the public using the MOS banner. Using the MOS name is nothing but a scam and a braning excercise for MOS who doesn't give a hoot about what's going on. Hed Kendi arena is even worse, why mix up Hed Kendi with a C grade over the hill DJ like Nicky Holloway, Bushman, Tanya Chua, Poi Dancers...? What have these people got anything to do with Hed Kendi who is mostly associated with chill out music. Now you try to pull in more crowd by putting mandarin ads on 93.3 FM trying to reach out to the heartlanders, also giving Giordano members a 15% discount on tickets and free drink...of all sponsors, Giordano? For god's sake, have some dignity. Most of us do not want to spend our NYE party with the 'wrong' crowd nor do we want to party with 20.000 people (that is such an unrealistic boast!). Zouk Out last year had 17 very credible international DJs and their residents are better than yours. With 4 arenas they only manage to pull about 12,000 people. Sentosa has a much nicer ambience than the sterile Expo halls which is really far away. The two Zouk Out's had the back up of much more credible sponsors, Starhub & Virgin. The event was backed by Global Underground, Cream, Pacha, Muzik, Good Times Tour...not cheesy MOS. The Sentosa NYE countdown had much more credible acts like Digweed, Kosheen live, Stacey Pullen, Technasia... and they only managed to draw 5000 people on a NYE. For a club who has just won the Nightspot of the year by STB, what you are doing at Essental NYE put the whole Here dance scene to shame. Does anyone at Centro know the score besides $$$? Even that, you are going to lose money big time because from what I hear from most of the people in the scene, they are not coming. Time to wake up, Centro. Here needs more credible dance clubs to build up the dance scene but looks like you are taking one step forward and two step backwards. I do not mean to slam you but the facts speak for itself." Slacker set was really good but as kinda disappointed with Dave Seaman, build up was good but he settle with progressive house instead (felt almost the same as Timo Mass set at Zouk or Nuevo - KL) my .2cents worth. more: Zouk reopening on this Friday 21 Oct zouk this coming...
