Cut on leg
Question:
I ve had a cut on leg for about 4 days. the wound is about 1/2 inch wide and 1 inch long, not very deep and has been leeking fluid(puss i guess) past 4 days. will the skin grow to
fill in the missing skin or should i go to doctor

Answer:
Hey goober, how are you doing?

Stitches help hold the wound together so it can heal properly. Stitches are removed between 3 to 14 days after they are put depending upon which area of the body was injured.

Stitches are primarily used if the cut is more that a quarter inch deep, is on the face, or reaches bone. Stitches on the face can be removed within 3 to 5 days but areas of high stress such as hands, elbows, and knees must stay in 10 to 14 days.

Best wishes,
The Prison Hospital

Prisoner: Look here, doctor! You've already removed my spleen, tonsils, adenoids, and one of my kidneys. I only came to see if you could get me out of this place!

Doctor: I am, bit by bit.

Answer:
You can buy steri-strips from your local pharmacy and apply them as directed to keep the wound together. Before you apply them, wash the wound well with plain soap and water, then irrigate it with peroxide. Tape some clean, dry gauze to this. If your leg worsens, then see a doctor
