This morning I was looking for something in the spare bedroom of my house, and while looking a disco light fell off the shelving and hit my head.
That was about 14 hours ago and it hurt alot at first that I was crying (it was a sharp pain) but the pain lessened and I was fine.
Now however, the pain has come back. Its like a dull throbbing pain on the side of my head and even though I was tired before, I just have an overwhelming urge to sleep.
I just wanted to know if it is right for the pain to be there?

Yes, it's normal for the pain to last a few days, even. It sounds like you are suffering from a mild concussion. Since 14 hours have passed and as long as you have not suffered unconsciousness, then it's okay to sleep. Apply ice packs to the area and take Acetaminophen (Tylenol) if tolerated, for the pain. Have someone keep an eye on you for the next24 hours after your injury.

Or install brakets - as done for areas with a history of Earthquakes. As a precaution in case someone else goes into your spare bed room, like some of your guest.

Contrary to KidSmartLiving and Simply SmartLiving, it you have toddlers or small kids around your home, move fragile, heavy or dangerous items to an entirly toddler or child free area. It wouldn't be fair for kids to start headbangin' before they started listening to rock-n-roll.
