Using body spray around anus - Bad for you?
Question:
I've always been very keen on personal hygene and have become more so as I've got older.

Without going into graphic detail after visiting the lavatory for a number 2 (if you know what that means) I always wash well with soap and water down there afterwards.

This is all fine, and makes you feel nice and clean.

However, just as an extra I usually give a small squirt of body spray around my anus.

Body spray of course has alcohol in it, and stings a bit for a minute or so, now I have no problem with the stinging sensation, it's fine. But I'm just a bit worried that spraying body spray directly onto your anus so it stings for a moment of two may be doing any medical damage.

This may sound weird, but as I say I'm very much into personal hygene and going this makes me feel nice and fresh and clean.

Answer:
Yes, spraying body spray or any substance containing perfumes can cause injury or harm to your anus. It can cause swelling, bleeding, ulcerations and/or blistering.... or worse. You would be much wiser to spray around the area rather than directly into your anus. Perfumes are not meant to be injested in any manner.
