Herbal Remedies for Arthritis Pain?
Question:
Does anyone have any experience with--or opinions about--herbal pain remedies for arthritis? I have been checking the claims that some herbal products make, and am considering ordering some. I know that some herbs can be as powerful as medicines, so in a way I'm hesitant. Medicines are regulated and many have to be prescribed by a doctor; for the most part herbs are unregulated and available without any action by a doctor. I'm not sure that's good.

Answer:

I certainly believe that herbal remedies can help alleviate arthritis symptoms but I believe even more strongly that they can do great damage to the major organs of your body. I'm glad to hear that you are wary of trying them. Keep in mind that any herb you take that is used for alleviating arthritis is a blood thinner. As you mentioned, they (as all blood thinners) should be regulated by a physician who knows your history well. Also keep in mind that you must mention any herbs you take to your doctor if you are ever undergoing surgery. Remaining on blood thinners during surgery can be deadly if things go wrong.

Answer:
This report is on Glucosamine HCL, Ginger, Bromelain and Green Tea Extract. These are key ingredients in Melaleuca's Advanced Formula Replenex®.

It is always recommended that you inform your health care practitioner if you are taking any over-the-counter medication or natural health products, as they can react adversely with some prescription drugs. If you have a medical condition, consult with your physician before taking these or any other herbs.

Answer:
I found an interesting article at SixWise.com that says Cranberries have remarkable healing powers and it is a natural remedy not herbal. Here is the link to the article, check it out!

Good Luck!
