i am 172 cm tall but only weight 48 kg .. thats about the range of underweight.. anyway u guys think if i go GNC and get some weight gainer power to drink , would i gain weight? Answer: i tink it depends on ur metabolism after u consume it ? Answer: drink full cream milk every morning. Answer: Depends. If you wanna gain unhealthy weight (fats), you can just stuff urself with junk food daily. But if u wanna gain healthy weight (muscles and inevitably, some fats), you should count your calories and add in an addition of 500 calories everyday. Other than your diet, you should also take up a sport that would develop your body. The most effective ones would be weight lifting, swimming, etc. There is NO need to spend your money on supplement. Supplements will always be supplements, they can help you on your growth if you exercise regularly, if not they will just turn into expensive urine. Just 1 more thing to note, don't buy GNC stuff, they are SERIOUSLY overpriced. Answer: find some 2 to 3L milk bottles along with a few face towels... chain the milk bottles together with the face towel... THERE! effective dumbells! shoulder press, side lateral raises, biceps curls... no sweat! hang a thick body towel on top of ur room door, grab the top of the door and do pull-ups! effective home gym... Bread with peanut butter... lots of it... oats with milk... meat, tofu, milk, MASH POTATO.... that's all u need... =D Answer: Peanut butter, better not touch them in loads. They contain high amounts of hydrogenated oils, which is bad if consumed in loads. Eat like a bull, but keep away from junk/fatty food. Answer: did i see peanut?? Answer: eat protein supplement or buy those gain weight milk powder which can be found in watson. my fren has gt the same figure like you too. abit boney for a guy. Answer: peanuts got its good and bad.... potatoes, peanuts, rice are boast for energy.... have any one wonder why skinny ppl can't gain weight? Have anyone look into the subject of digestive system and enzymes? this may be the problem behind problems of weight gaining... Answer: There is only 1 reason why skinny ppl can't gain weight. (besides medical conditions) They don't do weight lifting or other exercises enough. Once again i emphasize on the importance of exercises or weight lifting to simulate muscle/mass growth. You can take truck loads of supplements, but if you don't lift, its useless, all the supplements will just become expensive urine or shit. Answer: go easy on the fats products just spam on the proteins it helps alot for muscles growth, whey mass gainers for high metabolism people doesn't work quite good, my friend took it regularly still cant gain weight. but er, do more exercises, lesser running & distance travelling maybe its time to gain some muscles, not weight. Answer: i wanna gain muscle!!! i got train dumb bells at home Answer: haha dumbbells are useless. i have 'em at home too. but i seldom play with it. i still hit the gym more often, playing more with the olympic bar. mainly free weights lah. Answer: While hitting the gym is much better, you can also do dumbbell exercises at home too, if you can't find the time or money to the gym. There are no bodyparts that your dumbbells can't hit, do check it out and read up. Answer: did i jus see someone say db is useless... my god ignorance. the fastest way to gain weight is not only to hit the gym but also to eat meals where the total calorie intake is greater than calorie burnt. preferably the ratio of carbs to proteins shd be 2:1. moreover for general growth in the gym, do more compound exercises like bench press, squats, deadlifts and military press. for me i whack lots of oats, rice, milk and whey. Answer: astaroth is right. 500 extra calories everyday. Compound exercise will help you gain lean weight. However, a point to note is that gaining weight will inevitably gain you some fats (just a little, if u kept ur diet clean), which u can get rid of doing cardio after ur weight gaining period. For me, i try to drink at least 1 litre of HL milk everyday. HL milk is the best man, its tasty (for me), high in protein and vitamins. It can be compared to some mega-gainers as in price:protein. Answer: yep yep HL chocolate for me! Answer: well.. for ur info.. its not as difficult to gain muscle mass for skinny ppl.. but of cos..it all requires hardwork.. and discipline... well..for me.. last time i was damn skinny aso.. but i did gain around 8kg in 2mths.. not buy eatin junk food of cos... with help of my diet.. protien shakes.. and weekly gym... but if u tink u r too skinny..u may like to try mass gainer..but i wld rather prefer u to take protien shake.. at least it works on most of my frens.. and of cos..to gain mass.. in gym..try to carry heavier weights(bodybuilders called it bulking stage)...but to ur limits of cos... try to increase the weight overtime.. and try to go gym at least 2 times wkly.... if u folo tis... by 4wks.. sure can see results... the key is still..HARDWORK..DISCIPLINE!!! no pain no gain la good luck to u Answer: wads the difference between mass gainer and protien shake?? both can be purchase from GNC right? Answer: mass gainer contains large ams of carbo while protein contains large amt of protein. i personally dun find mass gainers useful cos basically u could jus eat lots of rice, pasta, noodles and potatoes for carbs. whereas for protein it sometimes can be cheaper to get protein shakes cos its not always very cheap to be buying lots of red meat or tuna and eggs
