how to train for standing broad jump?

aaaaaahhhh!!!!! NAPFA is in like 2 months! everything else should be ok but standing broad jump can't make it. help! how to train? wad my track fren said is to climb 20 storeys everyday. wad else can i do? Answer: lol. my pe teacher used to make our class jump steps.. as in jump as far as u can up the stairs.. Answer: lols... i also cannot make it... only 175-184.. so i cant help.. NAPFA lor. i dun wanna go extra BMT juz bcuz of sbj...T_T Answer: Answer: i posted the method b/4 .... buy a bamboo and jump over it 20 times by the end of the month you can be shinobi liao Answer: If you are zhai enough, buy TWO bamboo sticks and place then about 2m apart and jump over the first one and then the 2nd one QUICKLY without stopping. Make sure they are placed at a good enough height. Repeat about 20 times everyday and within a few weeks you should see considerable improvement. This helped me pass I got a C in the end. Answer: SBJ is a stoopid physical test, it test mostly your technique rather than your fitness so instead of being in IPPT, it should be in ITPT anyway i trained for my stoopid SBJ by going up and down the stairs at home increased my results a little little bit only but increase my stamina by a lot! Answer: so stairs dun really help? JonTan: r u serious about the bamboo? Answer: eat more frog legs... Answer: eh.. SBJ need to train one meh? it's easy to get 5pts 4 sbj lor... ya.. it's about how you jump... not how fit you are actually... open your legs shoulder width. <-- depends actually. but this one helps you to land.. more stable.. more equal boost. :x tuck your legs in. <-- reduce surface area. less "blocking" of wind.. and also allows you to "place" your legs further when landing. lean forward instead of backwards... i think by doing this 4 things.. you should improve your jump le ba... o ya... before you jump.. do those jump than tuck in your legs thingy... helps quite alot here... at least for me.. hee... Answer: That's what worked for me. Of course, you have to be consistent. Another thing that might help is the gym machine where you are sitting down with your knees to your chest and you're supposed to push against the weights. Anyway, on the actual day itself you might see a sudden increase in the amount of distance you jump by about 5cm. So don't worry too much. Answer: Jump the stairs. not one step at each time. 2 to 3 steps each time. And must get the correct technique. Can't just jump. Try to lean forward and push the whole body infront. Thats what my track teacher use to tell me. the bamboo one is feasible. ha As in you're gonna fall. AND FLY IN FRONT Answer: i juz can't jump..maybe leg too short... any good ideal i also wan to learnt.. Answer: i dont want my nose smashed ): Answer: lol.. train up your core strength.. helps if your abs are strong also.. try doing sets like this, squat down all the way, then jump up as high as you can.. repeat 4 sets, each set increase rep.. 6 times, 8 times, 10 times then 12.. Answer: if ur body heavy hard liao.. my skinny frens jump 260-270cm.. kao.. i improved from 170 to 210.. i just practise. Answer: Do more squats! (maybe with weights?) Its mostly your quad muscles it's testing, and of course techniques. :0 Skip more? Do more of the shuang fei, ahaha.
